    Here’s to Sweet Summertime

    August 29, 2017

Summer is unofficially coming to end this week with Labor Day right around the corner (where did the time go!?). And although we’re super excited to jump into fall, we’re going to miss those lazy summer days spent at the beach, and late nights spent roasting marshmallows by the fire with our friends. Life just seems all around easier in the summer 🙂

So, before we say goodbye to our sweet summertime, we wanted to share one of our favorite local spots in this month’s Hometown Spotlight, featuring Dairy Ripple.

Dairy Ripple is the original ice cream shop in Sycamore, Illinois. We *love* everything about this place, especially the feeling we get when ordering at the window, just like we’re in the movies! For decades, DR has prided itself on on being a destination of celebration for families and friends. From winning a ball game, to rejoicing at the end of a school year, people always find a reason to stop by and enjoy a hamburger or one of their ice cream classics, “Cone with Eyes.”

Even their drive-thru is frickin’ adorable. And you’re welcome for the full menu 🙂

For this special occasion, we rocked our favorite Show Me Your Mumu matching outfits (check out the links below). Because where else can we wear matching outfits and not feel like total freaks?! It seemed too perfect to pass up.

Next time you visit, make sure to share your moments with #treattradition. Have a sweet day! xoxo

When we first started this blog, we knew we wanted to feature our hometown of DeKalb, IL. There are just too many charming shops and local hot spots to NOT creatively expose them. You…
